*November 2025- EPEPA committee members attended cross cultural training at Cummins- facilitated by Eyre Regional Development Board

*October 2-5th Stoke Festival: EPEPA members attended the Makers Market EPEPA stall to share updates and information about Whalers Way, celebrations of our flora and fauna, and  other strategies supporting the protection of the environment on Eyre Peninsula.  

 

*September 2025  EPEPA members attended Senate Enquiry into the Algal Bloom at Port Lincoln 10/09/2025.

*August 2025  EPEPA encourages all interested and concerned people of impacts to Whalers Way by an orbital launch facility to continue writing letters and expressing their concerns to federal, state and local government agencies.

*  July 2025  EPEPA delegation presented to Lower Eyre Council (LEC) seeking clarification of what roles and responsibilities LEC has to monitor and enforce the federal and state provisional approval conditions of the Southern Launch development.

*July 2025  EPEPA participated in SA Native Vegetation Council invitation forum to share concerns of detrimental  risks of a variation to the Native Heritage Agreement for Whalers Way. update: August 21st letter from Office of Deputy Premier * Minister for Environment & Water:  `...This office has been advised that in reviewing the application for the Whalers Way Heritage Agreement variation, the Council has sought additional information from the applicant and recently engaged with a range of community groups regarding the matter.

Once the requested information has been received and reviewed by the Council it will provide its decision to the Minister, who will then consider all relevant information available to her prior to making a determination regarding the application.
