A toxic algal bloom in South Australia has been smothering the ocean and killing animals for months.
Sea creatures from tiny crabs to dolphins are washing up dead and dying on beaches, and locals are suffering as nature breaks down.
Send this pre-filled letter to the PM and key ministers* demanding his government:
Stops coal and gas approvals, and
Delivers new laws that protect people and nature from being destroyed, including from the effects of climate pollution.
These coastal communities rely directly on a healthy marine environment, and many are struggling to keep up with bills.
Climate damage has supercharged this disaster. An ocean heatwave caused by burning fossil fuels, flood water runoff, and nutrient pollution have mixed with deadly effect to make the algae explode – and the Federal Labor leadership must step up and act.
Thanks for speaking up!

*The letter will be forwarded to Anthony Albanese, Treasurer Jim Chalmers, Minister for Resources Madeleine King, and Minister for Climate Change and Energy Chris Bowen, who will be holding upcoming productivity roundtables. They need to hear the message now that healthy nature and a safe climate underpin our economy, community wellbeing and livelihoods, and the disaster unfolding in SA is a prime and live example of this.
