An update on the nest in Whalers Way near Port Lincoln.

After being unoccupied for several years this nest fledged one young last year and this year is looking good for these two chicks.

I am posting this "nest shot" because I want it on the record as a private company has been given approval (with conditions) to launch up to 36 Orbital Rockets and 6 Sub-orbital Rockets a year with noise levels up to 140 decibels. This nest is approximately six kilometres from one of the launch sites and it is my personal belief that this nest will be impacted.

I am sure many of you will be shocked however, sadly, with approvals given by both Commonwealth and State Ministers there seems to be little more we can do to stop this madness other than monitor the outcome.
